Our Mission

“To love God, love people, and to serve others!”

What to Expect

We welcome ALL people to be a part of Messiah’s Community. Worship is central to who we are. As you visit, you will be invited into our casual, yet traditional, Worship experience. Worship begins at 10:00am, but people begin gathering for coffee, choir, or our Learning Hour at 9:00am. Children are encouraged to remain in Worship, but a nursery is available. Everything you need to follow along smoothly with the service can be viewed on the Worship screens. During Holy Communion, we practice “open-table” where all are welcome to participate in God’s meal. Messiah is blessed to have you join us and we thank you for planning a visit.

What We Believe

Messiah confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As Lutherans, we emphasize Grace, defined as God’s love freely given for ALL people. As Christ-followers, we strive to ask the right questions, knowing that only God has all the right answers. Our faith is ever-growing as we continue to deepen our relationship with God through Jesus. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Scripture is the authoritative witness for the church that tells us the story of God’s relationship with God’s people. Lutherans understand the Bible as a “living word,” which puts emphasis on God continuing to speak to us.

Our History

Founded in 1957, Messiah’s origins began as a grass-roots effort of Christ-led people of faith. We first gathered in the library of Manchester High School, and continued to grow from there. We have been serving God and the community from our current location since 1962. God continues to call us into an ever-evolving and exciting future. From the minute you walk through our doors, you are a part of our history, and a part of our family. Come, be a part of something transformational!

“God brings peace to our past, purpose to our present, and hope for our future.”
